Been a super shitty friend lately, I know! But I booked my flight to London today and I'm entirely too damned excited!! Come on March!

I'm so damn miserable right now.
My sinuses have been achy for a couple days and when I woke up this morning my lymph nodes were so swollen and I was (and still am) in so much pain. I ended up leaving work early and going to MedExpress. The verdict? Ear infection and sinus infection. They gave me two medicines but ugh it still hurts x.x

So. Fucking. Sunburned.

DC almost killed me today. 28745 steps and almost 12 and a half miles. So damn tired

I hate complaining, but I do really, really hate doctors. No, I haven’t seen one in a couple months, but it’s still driving me insane. I have major foot and ankle issues. The ankle has given me issues since I was threeish and I injured it for the first time. It’s a pain I’m used to after spraining it over and over and over again. When the insane foot pain started, that’s when I started to get worried and made an appointment and was referred to a specialist. The specialist was damn useless. He focused on my ankle (which I told him wasn’t my main concern) and passed the foot off as “maybe nerve damage” and then continued to say that he didn’t know why I was in almost constant pain. I had a bruise on my foot (huge one from dropping a frozen carton of fruit puree on my foot at work that lasted over a month) and he said the pain was from that… even though I told him that the pain started before the bruise ever happened. I think he thought I was trying for drugs or something because I’ll admit, I looked disappointed when all he gave me was Ibuprofen 800 when I told him I was taking 4 of the 200mg ones at a time as it was. Long ramble short, my damn foot really fucking hurts and I’m tired of being in pain but the doctor is damn useless x.x

I think I’m going to do that Monthly Talking Meme that is going around! And since May starts tomorrow, I know I’m slacking, but that’s okay! Feel free to ask me any questions for May! I am blocking out the dates that I’m going to be on vacation though cause I won’t be interneting much while I’m in Ireland, but aside from that, it’s all up for grabs!
The dates )

My teacher for this class is driving me insane. Well, at least she irritated me severely yesterday. We were supposed to read Everyday Use and A Good Man Is Hard To Find for our discussion this week. The issue? Everyday Use isn't in our books. So I left a message on the 'Ask the Professor' thread...

Me: Okay, I feel like a total idiot and I'm probably overlooking something, but I can't find "Everyday Use" in our books... is it online somewhere and that's where i'm supposed to go to read it? I'm just really confused.

Her: Hi Christi! You are correct. Although I have taught this course just once earlier, and I am teaching a revised one again this semester with all of you, I do not see Alice Walker's fiction in our anthology. That is not to suggest that I am not fond of her. I respect and like her writings a lot.

Helpful. Really, really helpful. I mean, I found it online easily enough and I've done the discussion, but the fact that the answer was just so damn unhelpful made me twitch a little.

The Poe class I'm taking? Well, as of this morning, it didn't have a teacher. Apparently they couldn't find one, so the head of the English department is going to be teaching it. Intimidating much? God, it looks like it's going to be murder! But a good murder, I hope! Aka it starts the 20th and I'm going to let other people respond first because I'm a bit confused at him wanting MLA formatting in a discussion post when we're just reading a story/poem and discussing it. We'll see how it goes!

Signed up for next semester too! At the moment I'm keeping an eye out because they have a class on Mark Twain in the online catalogue but when it tried to sign up for me they said it wasn't available. But I'm hoping it will be soon! But if not, I have other classes to fill it! Right now, next semester looks like:
PSYC 301: Biological Basis of Behavior
ENGL 303: Critical Approaches to Literature
ENGL 309: Medieval British Literature
ENGL 441: Post Modern American Lit 1945 - 1999

Long shot, but would anyone be interested in buying a Red Nintendo DS XL? It's been used... once, I think. I bought it for mom for Christmas and she doesn't touch it, so she's told me to go ahead and sell it since I already have one of my own! Comes with a case and if you want the box and stuff, I could probably find that too!

God, I don't know how much... $150ish? So willing to haggle!

Air travel makes no sense! Haven't got tickets yet, but the flight I'm looking at takes me from Baltimore to Atlanta and then to St Louis. Oh yes, that makes perfect sense...!

I know I've disappeared again and I hate it :( I remember the days of daily posts and I want to try to get that back again!

That being said, I owe a picture post from DC and a post from last nights Goo Goo Dolls and Matchbox 20 concert. Maybe when I get home from doing laundry I'll be inspired!

Let's play a game of guess how many guns they pulled out of my parents house! Here's a hint, it's probably more than you think!
