The blonde awoke with a sudden start, his heart pounding as he looked around the room, trying to pinpoint exactly what had caused him to awaken so suddenly. He shook his head slightly as if to clear his thoughts, stretching back out on the small bed as he wrapped his arms around his younger, silver-haired lover, holding him tightly as he drifted off into a dreamless sleep.

A soft smile crossed Demyx's face as he slipped into the bedroom, dead tired on his feet after an extremely long day. The sight before him was more than enough to make all the days stresses and annoyances disappear in a matter of moments. There, curled up in the middle of the bed cuddling with a large paopu shaped pillow, was his half-naked boyfriend. He stripped down to his boxers, curling his body around the moonlit one of his lover, sighing in contentment as he closed his eyes.

"DEMYX!"

The blonde winced slightly at the sound of the booming voice, glancing down at the broken glass. "S-sorry!" he stammered as he backed against one of the lab tables, knocking over a few vials in the process.

Vexen groaned softly at the sound of the second crash. "Demyx, just sit in the corner and DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING!!"

A grin tugged at the corners of his lips as he did as he was told, leaning back against the wall as he watched Vexen putter around the lab. Now this kind of punishment he could get used to.

Orange eyes narrowed as they stared at what remained of Castle Oblivion. The very stronghold he had trusted him with. He had always been told to never mix business with pleasure, but he had ripped that rule right out of the handbook. And for what? To be betrayed by one of his most loyal? Xemnas scoffed slightly at his own foolishness; he had learned his lesson. Kingdom Hearts was the only thing that mattered now, and it was Kingdom Hearts that would become as his lover. He had no more need for desires of the flesh.

The red-head leaned into the arm that was wrapped around her, a small smile crossing her face as she snuggled closer to the body that resting beside her, a sight of contentment leaving her lips when he wrapped a blanket around them both to ward off the chill of the drafty dormroom. It was strange, their relationship was slowly progressing from strangers to close friends... who knew where time would them.

That was a ride that they were both willing to hold onto tightly as life took them on its twists and turns.
